Chairperson – Daniel Molyneux
After gaining Masters in Chemistry from the University of Aberdeen, Danny developed oilfield chemicals including gel pigs for cleaning, pre-commissioning and repairing pipelines. Whilst working in Houston, Danny benefitted enormously from being a member of YPP USA. Bringing the concept back across the pond when he returned to his native northeast Scotland, Danny set up the Aberdeen branch of YPP Europe in mid-2018 and took the Chairperson role at the end of that year. Danny is now a Technical Advisor with Quest Integrity specializing in ultrasonic inline inspection and is also currently Chair of Young Pipeliners International.
Vice Chair – Marguerite Forde
Marguerite is a senior corrosion engineer at ROSEN UK, located in Newcastle upon Tyne. Originally from Cork, Ireland, she has a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental engineering, and now has 8+ years’ experience consulting on corrosion and integrity management for the oil and gas industry worldwide. Marguerite has extensive capability in the delivery and project management of corrosion threat assessments and corrosion control schemes. Marguerite is a founding member of YPPE, and is currently serving as vice chair and YPI Liaison.
Treasurer – Thomas Redares
Thomas has 11 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. He has a Master of Science from the Engineering School Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France, and he is Certified Associate in Project Management from the Project Management Institute. In 2008 he started his career as Process Engineer for ExxonMobil in Fos-sur-mer refinery, France. In 2013 he joined Halliburton as Project Engineer in the Pipeline and Process service line in Aberdeen, UK, and in 2016 moved to a Product Champion role with a main focus on pipeline diagnostics and flow remediation solutions. Since October 2019 Thomas has joined INEOS Forties Pipeline System in Falkirk, UK, as Project Engineer.
Thomas has joined the YPPE committee as Treasurer in February 2019 with main responsibility to manage all finances of organisation but also to promote the YPPE and support any activities organised by the group.
Business Development – Ben Bergius
Ben, originally from Edinburgh, graduated from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering back in 2012. From there, he went onto work with Weatherford Pipeline & Speciality Services, as a technical sales estimator, before it’s divestiture to Baker Hughes Process & Pipeline Services. Ben joined NDT Global in 2015 as Key Account Manager, currently based in NDT’s central Aberdeen office, with responsibility for the UK offshore & onshore markets.
Since January 2019 Ben has been an active board member of the Young Pipeline Professionals, as Business Development Manager for the group. This role sees Ben responsible for raising sponsorship and also growing the membership.
Marketing – Richard Campbell
Richard has over 6 years experience in asset integrity management. After obtaining his Masters of Mechanical Engineering degree in Newcastle, UK, he joined ROSEN. He is responsible for the delivery of a wide range of integrity assessments of both onshore and offshore pipelines, predominantly following in-line inspection, for pipeline operators worldwide.
Secretary – Nisaa Bhatti
Nisaa is an integrity engineer at ROSEN UK, located in Newcastle upon Tyne, where she also obtained her Masters in Mechanical Engineering at Northumbria University. During her time at ROSEN, Nisaa has been responsible for delivering a range of integrity assessments for pipeline operators worldwide and has recently been involved in the development and delivery of bending strain assessments.
Newsletter Editor – Sophie Coldwell
Sophie is a Proposal & Contract Assistant working for ROSEN(UK) and is based in the Newcastle Upon Tyne office. As well as assisting with the submission of proposals, she regularly gets involved in other areas of business development such as the pursuit of new client opportunities and the production of marketing materials. She has a background in Computer Science with an interest in design. Sophie has been involved with the production of a quarterly newsletter for the YPPE since November 2018.
Germany Chapter Lead – Pharell Oben
Pharell Oben is a graduate in M.Sc. Petroleum Engineering and working as a Project Engineer for PPS pipeline systems GmbH, Germany. Pharell joined the young pipeline professionals association in 2018 after experiencing his first Pipeline Technology Conference (PTC) in Berlin, Germany, appreciating the international vibe, rapid growth within the industry, knowledge sharing and the willingness to integrate young professionals into the business.
Pharell is the representative for YPPE-German Chapter, with the goal of bringing young pipeliners to the pipeline business, connecting them to experience professionals and international pipeline community.
Netherlands Chapter Lead – Rahul Raghukumar
Rahul Raghukumar is a charted engineer, specialized in pipeline engineering. He has worked in close association with clients in the role of project management and pipeline engineering in Europe, South East Asia and Middle EAST. He has worked in projects ranging from FEED Study to Detailed Engineering, Offshore Installation for Pipeline Projects and Pipeline Integrity Studies such as Fitness for Purpose, Remnant Life Studies, Emergency Pipeline Repair Study (EPRS) and Damage Assessment.
South England Chapter Lead – Koshy Solomon
Koshy’s interest in the pipeline industry began when his dad introduced him to his first In-Line Inspection tool at the age of 15. After almost 2 years in the pipeline services sector, he pursued my MSc. in Pipeline Engineering which gave him a deeper understanding and appreciation for all aspects involved during the lifetime of any pipeline, right from design, all the way to decommissioning. Koshy currently works as a Graduate Engineer with Jee Limited, with whom he gets the opportunity to explore all these aspects. During his short time in the industry, Koshy has come to identify a few crucial issues – the depleting number of professionals within the industry, the importance of mentorships and the value of first-hand experience – and sees YPPE as a means to address these key issues. As South England Lead he hopes to learn from the industry and make valuable contributions in order to help cultivate the future generation of pipeline professionals.
France Chapter Lead – Manon Servais
Graduated from a double diploma from Ecole Centrale in Lille and Nuclear Energy Engineering from KTH in Stockholm in 2014, she joined the Oil & Gas sector working for TRAPIL, the French refined petroleum pipeline operator and service provider. There, she occupied several positions in the engineering department as a Study Engineer and then Project Manager with several achievements in France and abroad linked to pipeline operation. Since 2017, as Marketing and Business Development Manager, she has been taking part in the international expansion strategy of the company regarding its entire range of services: engineering and construction, inspection and integrity, product quality management and metering.
Italy Chapter Lead – Marco Marino
Eng. Marco Marino (1984), MBA, Business Development Manager and Director (CEO) of SolAres S.r.l., official licensee and supplier of e-vpms®: Eni’s innovative technology for Pipeline Leak Detection and Integrity Monitoring. Experienced Management professional with a demonstrated history of working in the industry over the last 10 years. Executive Master of Business Administration focused in Business Administration and Management, from MIP-Politecnico Di Milano, also former Research Student at Tokyo Institute of Technology and MSc in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Gained expertise working on Aerospace and Defense and joined the Oil & Gas industry in 2013 in Aresys S.r.l..
Webmaster – Andrew Sinclair
Andrew is an integrity engineer at ROSEN UK, located in Newcastle upon Tyne. He has 9 years experience in asset integrity management. He has a Masters degree in Marine Technology with Honours in Offshore Engineering from Newcastle University, UK. He has been responsible for the delivery of a wide range of integrity assessments of both onshore and offshore pipelines, predominantly following in-line inspection, for pipeline operators worldwide.
